Xiaomi, the Chinese smartphone maker is slowing grabbing the market share of Samsung in both Smartphone and Consumer Electronics segment. With the huge growth in smartphone shipments the company has now emerged as a Global player in the industry and may soon outrank Samsung. Thanks to poor sales of the latest Samsung flagships.

To retain its position and market share Samsung is working hard to compete with the Chinese players like Huawei, Xiaomi Oppo and Vivo. As a part of the efforts, the South Korean giant is reportedly planning to launch Samsung Galaxy ‘M’ series devices that may redefine the affordable and mid-level price segments currently dominated by the Chinese players.

Samsung may launch two smartphones this month — M10 for around Rs 9,500 and M20 for nearly Rs 15,000 — with not-seen-before specifications like Infinity-V display in this segment. It is also planning to launch M30 smartphone with a triple-rear camera system which may probably arrive next month.

If Samsung can address the needs of the Indian smartphone market it may quickly retain its top ranking.
