Mukesh Ambani, the Chairman of Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) is now Asia’s richest person. Earlier the title was held by Jack Ma, the founder of Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba.
According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Ambani’s net worth was estimated to be worth $44.3 billion and while that of Jack Ma’s net worth is $44 Billion. It was a close difference. This is because Reliance shares rose by 1.6 percent on Friday.
Ambani added $4Billion to his wealth this year from Reliance Industries. Also, the market valuation of Reliance Industries surged past Rs 7 lakh crore mark during Friday morning trade. With the immense success Jio, Ambani is now trying to capture the digital market of India and is now heading to rupture the Broadband Industry in India with the launch of JioFiber.
