Huawei will be launching Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro smartphones on October 16th in London. if rumors come to be true, Huawei will carry HiSilicon Kirin 980 chipset built using TSMC’s 7nm FinFET node. The company also confirmed the Mate 20 devices to be the world’s first smartphones to use the 7nm chipset. At the IFA 2018, the Mate 20 Pro was reportedly photographed with triple camera setup on the rear along with dual tone LED flash in the middle.
Now, Mate 20 Pro to come with 40W fast charging support. Honor also confirmed the upcoming Honor Magic 2 smartphone to support 40W fast charging. OPPO is already offering 5oW Super VOOC flash charge technology with the newly launched OPPO R17 Pro.
The device will come with wireless charging feature and support up to 15W power input by using a compatible wireless charger. The Huawei Mate RS launched alongside the Huawei P20 devices came with 10W wireless charging support. As seen on the Mate RS, the Mate 20 devices will also support 3D structured lightning which might be used for 3D mapping. The TOF sensor on the OPPO R17 Pro is also used for 3D mapping of the objects.
