Facebook found Sharing user data with Device makers Including Apple and Samsung

A new report from the New York Times exposed that the world’s largest Social Networking site Facebook has partnerships with nearly 60 device makers including Samsung and Apple. These partnerships existed even before the wide penetration of Facebook.

The device partnerships allowed Facebook to expand its reach, it let the phone makers offer customers popular features of the social network, such as messaging, “like” buttons and address books, making these partnerships a win-win for both.

Currently, Facebook is facing huge issues after the Cambridge Analytica data leak scandal became public.
