Artificial Intelligence is a very sensitive topic that everyone should be very cautious about as it is like a coin that can be flipped to be good and bad. Elon Musk, the founder of SpaceX and Tesla has always voiced against the idea of AI as he feels that AI may spark the World War 3. Also, he is worried that AI may become the greatest threat to humanity.
During the VivaTech conference in Paris on Friday, Eric Schmidt, the Ex-Google Chief has completely ruled out Musk’s opinions saying that Musk’s scepticism about Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its impact on human beings is “exactly wrong“.
Eric who is currently a board member of Alphabet believes AI will make people smarter and this will be a net gain. Musk is concerned about the possible misuse of this technology and I am too but I am more convinced by the overwhelming benefit of AI,” tech website CNET quoted Schmidt as saying.
Earlier Facebook chief Mark Zuckerberg also spoke in support of AI when Elon tweeted that Zuck’s understanding about AI is limited. This resulted in a Verbal spat of both on Twitter.
